Becoming Jane

The irony of life begets the thought of astounding principles we live to each day. In Old English, Mr. Wisley who has a considerable – even a great larger fortune than any young man who would propose for the hand of Jane - is by far the most acceptable to carry the life of Mr. and Madame Austen’s daughter. But with the sanctity, sacredness, and longevity of marriage, must you always be willing to sacrifice your own pleasures and distinctions for a life so promising but surely not beyond the jewels of intangible riches? Must you not trust the potency of a woman to sustain herself at once?

But even that fails, the imagination is for. – Mrs. Radcliffe
