I just thought, I was never a Twilight aficionado

5:15pm

I would like to think that I am among those finger-few who knew that there was a 'Twilight' all along long before it got in the hands of devious readers, and people who became instant readers to be in the trend. I've known the existence of Twilight since 2005. Although I'm a self-'fessed reader of all titles, Twilight never came to glue my eyes. In every frustrating attempt that I tried to, it just never let me glued like those people who'd claim that they are Mrs. Cullens and pretend to be Bella. Sure thing, the soundtracks of the book got me, but I just don't know with the book. I've always been the one who hated things which are all the rage of every teenage girl. I just don't see myself head over heels with these stuffs. Maybe I'll just have to wait for the movie and care to be tagged along by my cousins who faves it. And maybe, just a maybe, one of these days I'll find myself having a strange relationship with Stephenie Meyer's works. But I just never see myself going all-gaga with Edward.

I beg to differ.

5 months ago, when I was all fresh and kicking of the beautiful Edward Cullen, I would've had read on your post and leave. Haha!

But, of all the truth of being a reader by heart, you'll understand that time comes that Twilight technically doesn't give you the good creeps from authors like Gabriel Garcia-Marquez, paulo Coelho and (your favorite author here.) It's just a paperback version of the tv shows that we all love to watch. I've lost the Twilight magic and I don't know why. Hahaha! Yet, I'm still waiting for the movie.

But (I forgot this one earlier) I still love it the way I love reading it for the first time. It's jsut that, I figured that fan girls aren't fan girls forever ;)

May you suggest me a good book ? :) I want a new read--again.

you're so right. in my case, i get all giddy with books that aren't 'that' known yet. classics, i guess. or books with 'never-heard-of' authors. hehe. this sembreak i went light with the plots: i've been reading a lot of camilla morton's books such as How To Walk in High Heels and the sequel, The Year in High Heels. Those are basically self-help books with a lot of chutzpah. ;) And another one, which I've read way way back was Flipped by Wendelin van Draanen. Really amazing. And last but not least (and quite shocking too) I found myself reading the English Module IV by Mrs. Mendoza. hehe. I just love that it's already packed with diverse excerpts from some books. *a form of advanced-reading, i guess. hehe*

I really don't like Twilight. It's like a cheesy version of Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire. Plus, Louis and Lestat are way hotter than Edward Cullen a.k.a Mr. Sappy Quotes Generator.

Oh what am I saying? I HATE TWILIGHT.
